BOOSTER KIT for LUTUM® 4M
Are you working with a LUTUM 4M with LCD screen ?
You can upgrade the brain and screen to function like a LUTUM PRO.
We developed a KIT everybody can install into their LUTUM printer. Just uncrew the printbed and label your existing wires before removing the old ‘brain’, screw in the new board and re-attach the wires. After the upgrade your LUTUM will have wifi, run faster with more power and is controlled with a 4.3″, touch screen. You can also control the printer through the browser interface from a wifi enabled device like a phone, tablet or laptop.
You can include the extarnal driver but it depending on the type and make of LUTUM 4M or you have. If you are unsure, unscrew the top deck and send us some pictures of the inside. We can then advise your options.
What is in the kit:
- fully flashed 32bit Duet based board with wifi and
- 3A external pre-installed driver for Y-axis movement (if needed)
- 8GB internal storage,
- 4.3″ touchscreen with Bracket to replace your LCD
- addiotinal wiring
What do you need to install:
- camera to document wire placing between old and new board
- Torx screw driver, TTX15 (but you can use your own screws if you want)
- small slotted screw driver (flat head)
- large slotted or philips screw driver
- small wire cutter
- permanent marker to mark one of the wires
- lighter or blow heater to crimp two wires (not always needed)
The kit uses a most of the existing internal wiring
