BOOSTER KIT for LUTUM® 4.5
Are you working with a 2019 to 2020, LUTUM 4.5 ?
You can now upgrade the brain and control box of your printer to make it our current LUTUM® 4.6
We developed a KIT everybody can install into their LUTUM printer. Just uncrew the printbed and label your existing wires before removing the old ‘brain’, screw in the new board and re-attach the wires. After the upgrade your LUTUM will have wifi, run faster with more power and is controlled with a 5″, or optional, 7″ touch screen. You can also control the printer through the browser interface from a wifi enabled device like a phone, tablet or laptop.
You need to include the extarnal driver depending on the type of LUTUM 4.5 or 4.5 PRO you have. Look into the side panel on the left side of the machine, if you see any driver with the 6 white switches inside a small red square, you do not need to order the additional driver.
What is in the kit:
- fully flashed 32bit Duet based board with wifi and
- 3A external pre-installed driver for Y-axis movement (if needed)
- 16GB internal storage,
- 5″ touchscreen that fits inside your current aluminium housing
- addiotinal wiring
What do you need to install:
- camera to document wire placing between old and new board
- Torx screw driver, TTX15 (but you can use your own screws if you want)
- small slotted screw driver (flat head)
- large slotted or philips screw driver
- small wire cutter
- permanent marker to mark one of the wires
- lighter or blow heater to crimp two wires (not always needed)
The kit uses a lot of old internal wiring and the original wire between the printer and your current control box.
